Six renowned German experts, who had already signed an open letter two years ago calling for an end to the battlefield illusion and for diplomacy to end the Ukraine war, published another letter on Jan. 5: Peter Brandt, Hajo Funke, Johannes Klotz (all three are political scientists); Michael von der Schulenburg (former UN official, now Member of European Parliament); Harald Kujat (former Chief of Staff of the German Armed Forces); Horst Teltschik (former chief aide to Chancellor Helmut Kohl).
They published their statement on Jan. 5 in the Berliner Zeitung daily.
