Pentagon Announces Package of F-15IA Fighters for Israel after Trump-Netanyahu Meeting in Florida

The U.S. Department of Defense announced Dec. 29, 2025 that Boeing Corporation had been awarded a Foreign Military Sales contract of $8.58 billion to supply 25 F-15IA fighters to Israel, The War Zone reported on Dec. 30, 2025 The announcement came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump had met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, earlier that day.

The contract covers the design, integration, instrumentation, test, production, and delivery of 25 new F-15IA aircraft, with an option for an additional 25. The first planes are to be delivered in 2031. Work will be performed at Boeing’s St. Louis, Missouri factory. This deal had been concluded in its essentials in November 2024 under the Biden administration, at a cost of $5.2 billion. (It is not clear why the price went up nearly $3.4 billion under the new contract.)
