Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, at the Kremlin yesterday. The Kremlin statement said nothing about their conversation. IRNA quoted Iranian ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, who reported that “The main focus of the talks was the expansion of bilateral relations, especially economic relations between the two countries, and at the same time, the two sides consulted on important regional and international issues.”

Putin also had a working meeting with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. “The agenda of the talks covers key areas of multifaceted Russia-UAE cooperation, the current situation in the Middle East and other international issues,” reported the Kremlin statement.
