Trump Announces Gaza Board of Peace Has Been Formed

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Jan. 15 that the Gaza Board of Peace has been formed. “It is my Great Honor to announce that THE BOARD OF PEACE has been formed. The Members of the Board will be announced shortly, but I can say with certainty that it is the Greatest and Most Prestigious Board ever assembled at any time, any place. Thank you for your attention to this matter!,” he wrote on Truth Social.

Politico reports, citing a person familiar with the matter, that the Board will consist of the heads of state of at least nine countries: the U.S., U.K., Italy, Germany, Türkiye, Qatar, Egypt, U.A.E., and Jordan. While former British Prime Minister Tony Blair was initially expected to be included, he has since stepped down from the position. However, Politico claims that Blair will still serve on an executive committee attached to the Board of Peace, which will also include Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, among others.
