On the first anniversary of his assuming office for his second term, President Donald Trump gave an hour and 45 minute-long press conference Jan. 20, in which he spoke about his marvelous accomplishments during his first year in office. Asked at the end of the conference, to name which he considered his top three accomplishments, since he had mentioned so many, Trump answered without hesitation: “Building a really powerful military has been a great achievement, and that would include the Venezuela `thing’ [sic]. That would include the attack on Iran and the wiping out of the nuclear threat.”
So much for the “peacemaker” president.
Trump, however, showed signs of feeling the heat of the growing opposition of the American people to the warlike tactics he has ordered against Minnesota, in particular, led by masked ICE agents in military-like special forces gear. The very first thing the President raised was his complaint that his people are not making it clear that all the immigrants being “apprehended” in this campaign are “murderers and drug dealers.” To remedy that failure, he flashed a series of shiny mug shots of people, whose names and faces went by so fast that only the only thing that could be discerned was the big letters across the top of each mug shot reading “The Worst of the Worst.”
