Two-thirds of EU Citizens Dissatisfied with Nord Stream ‘Investigations’

According to a poll by Hungarian think tank Szazadveg, two-thirds of Europeans are dissatisfied with the fact that after three years, no explanation as to the identity of the perpetrators who blew up the Nord Stream pipeline on Sept. 26, 2022, has been offered. Of those who expressed an opinion, 50% thought it was the Russians themselves, 21% the U.S., and 19% the Ukrainians.

Last year, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the problem was not that the pipeline, extending underneath the Baltic from near St. Petersburg to Griefswald, Germany, was destroyed, but that it had been built in the first place. At the time of the explosion, the Polish foreign minister congratulated the Americans. Before the attack, at a press conference with U.S. President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Schulz, Biden said that the Americans had a way to stop gas delivery via Nord Stream.
