U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie Mocks Legal Basis for Invasion of Venezuela

U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) mocked the supposed legal justification which the Trump administration—with both input from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and significant influence from the British oligarchy—used to justify its extralegal invasion of Venezuela and its kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro. Massie posted on X: “If this action were constitutionally sound, the Attorney General wouldn’t be tweeting that they’ve arrested the President of a sovereign country and his wife for possessing guns in violation of a 1934 U.S. firearm law.”

In the first 24 hours, Massie’s posting has already received 3.1 million views.
