Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accompanied Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi throughout his 24-hour, Feb. 24-25, visit to Israel, greeting him on the tarmac when he arrived at the airport and personally seeing him off as he boarded to leave. Bibi was there to lead the Knesset in a standing ovation when Modi declared that “India stands with Israel, firmly, with full conviction, in this moment, and beyond.” At its end, Netanyahu called the visit “amazing,” while Modi wrote, “May our partnership continue to grow in the times to come!”
Centuries-long British geopolitical manipulation of both South Asia and West Asia took its toll during this visit. Religious conflict between Hindu nationalist forces in India and Muslims in Pakistan have repeatedly been used by London to destabilize the region, and to try to foster an anti-Islam alliance between India and Israel in the face of terrorism—which is also run by the British from behind the scenes.
The trip was not hastily scheduled: Netanyahu had announced in December that Modi would be visiting. Nonetheless, Modi’s failure to make the slightest public mention of the U.S. armada poised to strike India’s traditional ally and fellow BRICS member Iran was glaring—especially since it is likely that Israel will be part of any American strike on Iran.
