Hudson Institute Urges U.S. To Plan 'Ukraine' Attack on Key Russian Rail Bridge

The neocons at Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C. are still intent on using the Ukraine war to shatter the Russian Federation into dozens of small, NATO-controlled “countries.” Two of Hudson’s senior fellows, Luke Coffey and Can Kasapoglu, have penned an elaborate scheme published Feb. 20 in the National Interest for Ukraine to carry out one specific act of strategic terrorism, under United States’ guidance, which they claim would destroy the Russian economy, trigger separatism, and end with Russia being torn apart by “regional elites and criminal groups alike.” That goal, they propose, could be accomplished just by destroying the Trans-Siberian Railway bridge which crosses the Yenisei River in Siberia at Krasnoyarsk!

EIR warned that such schemes were afoot in a May 5, 2023 special report, “[Shut Down Anglo-American ‘Break Up Russia’ Operation Now![(https://larouchepub.com/other/2023/5018-shut_down_anglo_american_break.html),” in which Luke Coffey and the Hudson Institute were featured. Nominally an American, Coffey’s pride at having served as a special advisor on U.K. defense policy at the U.K. Defense Ministry tells you where his loyalties lie. These are the same fellows who repeat obsessively that the West should not fear Russia’s nuclear weapons.

Here, in a nutshell, is their latest delusional “strategy:”

“One of Russia’s greatest vulnerabilities lies in its internal infrastructure—specifically, the narrow set of assets that hold together the vastness of the world’s largest country. Among the most strategically significant of these assets is the Trans-Siberian Railway bridge over the Yenisei River in Krasnoyarsk, deep inside Siberia…. Put simply, a single piece of infrastructure connects European Russia to central Siberia and onward to the Pacific coast.”
