Japanese Prime Minister Slated to Win Today’s Snap Election

According to exit polls today, the Japanese Prime Minister is slated to win over 300 seats in the new legislature, considerably higher than the 233 votes required to clinch a majority. While she has displayed very aggressive rhetoric in her short term in office, including attempting to make Taiwan an “existential issue” for Japan, she has been boosted by becoming something of a popular figure, especially among younger people.
