This coming week there will be a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, announced Feb. 16 by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, during his meeting with Sergey Glazyev, First Secretary of the Union State. The [officia[l Belarus.by](Belarus.by) website](https://www.belarus.by/en/press-center/news/lukashenko-union-state-summit-scheduled-for-26-february_i_208040.html) reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to the Feb. 26 date, and Belarus.by supplied details of the Lukashenko-Glazyev meeting.
Regarding implementing the Union State Treaty for 2024-2026, Glazyev said: “About half of all activities prescribed by the guidelines have been completed. I am confident that the remaining half will also be finished. The main issue that we must now determine together is the development of new guidelines for 2027-2029.”
