The Secret Service has announced that an unidentified man breached the perimeter of President Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, carrying a gas can and a shotgun. When confronted, the man put down the gas can and raised the gun, appearing to be prepared to shoot, at which time the officers shot the man, according to statements made at a short press conference held by the relevant agencies.
President Trump was not in Florida at the time.
