Trump and Qatari Emir Talk Ahead of Trump’s Meeting with Netanyahu

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and U.S. President Donald Trump discussed efforts to de-escalate the region and promote stability in a phone call, the Emiri Diwan said on Feb. 11, reported Reuters. The call apparently took place while Netanyahu was in the air on his way to Washington, where he will meet with Trump on Feb. 11.

The Emir and Trump discussed “supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at addressing crises through dialogue and peaceful means,” the Diwan said.
