Two Congressmen Intend To Force Vote on War Powers over Trump Threat To Strike Iran

On Feb. 18, Representatives Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) announced that they intend to force a vote in the House of Representatives on a War Powers Resolution to prevent President Donald Trump from going to war against Iran without the consent of Congress. “Rep Thomas Massie & I have a War Powers Resolution to debate & vote on war before putting U.S. troops in harm’s way,” Khanna wrote on X on Feb. 18. “I will make a motion to discharge to force a vote on it next week.”
