Today it was announced that Borge Brende, president of the World Economic Forum (WEF) since 2017, has resigned his position for reasons of association with Jeffrey Epstein. Brende became WEF President after the retirement of Klaus Schwab, famous close friend of now King Charles III. Brende was previously Foreign Minister of Norway.

Earlier this month the WEF launched an investigation into Brende, after the release of the latest tranche of Epstein-associated documents by the U.S. Department of Justice. Media report that in November 2025, Brende had denied having contact, or much contact at least, with Jeffrey Epstein. However, documents released since then show that in 2018 and 2019, Brende exchanged emails and dined with Epstein multiple times. Hard to forget.

Brende’s statement released on Feb. 26, blythely ignores his lying about what he failed to “remember” in his socializing with Epstein, and in fact, smears elite gloss on the WEF, by crooning: “We have had a very successful Annual meeting in Davos behind us, where we engaged with governmental leaders from all over the world like never before … I believe now is the right moment for the Forum to Continue its important work without distractions.”

Brende is now part of a Norway cluster of figures associated with Epstein, including Mona Juul, Norway’s ambassador to Jordan and Iraq, and several others.
