In an interview with Belgian newspaper L’Echo on March 14, Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever called on the EU to “make a deal” with Russia to both bring an end to the war in Ukraine, and to “regain access to cheap energy,” reported Euronews.
Currently, the EU is split regarding Russia: France, Italy, and Hungary are in favor of negotiations with Russia, while Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are opposed.
