Cellist's 'Music Unites the World' Project Banned in Lithuania?

World renowned cellist Stjepan Hauser was forbidden to perform in Lithuania, as reported by RT, “after he posted a video of himself playing the Russian folk song ‘Kalinka’ on social media.... The musician performed it as part of his ‘Music Unites the World’ project, in which he plays well-known tunes from different countries.”

The concert agency LTips simply stated: “Hauser’s performances in the Baltic states are cancelled.” No reason for the cancellation was stated.

The offending video can be found right next to his performance of the Ukrainian song, ‘Ty Zh Mene Pidmanula'.
