China-Russia Relations Based on Mutual Trust, Foreign Minister Says

In response to a question from a reporter from Russia, regarding the China-Russia relationship, Wang Yi replied that their relationship represented a “new type of major power relations.” The relationship was “rock solid,” he said, mainly because it is a relationship of equality. “We are both independent but we respect each other’s interests. There is a high degree of mutual trust which enables us to defy any attempts to split us,” he stressed.
