Chinese Foreign Ministry Calls Iran War 'a War that Should Not Have Happened'

“Without the UN’s authorization, the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran in the process of the ongoing U.S.-Iran negotiation, which clearly violates international law,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told reporters at the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

He reported that Foreign Minister Wang Yi has been engaged in reaching out to counterparts in Southwest Asia and other relevant countries “through phone calls to call for peace, end to hostilities and deescalation.”
