Chinese SMR Completes Non-nuclear Steam Start Up Test

The ACP100, the world’s first commercial land-based small modular reactor (SMR), is expected to come online in the first half of this year, after successfully passing its non-nuclear turbine test run on the first attempt this past January. It will produce 1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, enough for half a million households.
