Iranian Presidency Appoints New Secretary of Supreme National Security Council

Mohammad Mahdi Tabatabaei, the deputy for information at the Office of the Iranian President, announced on Tuesday, March 24, that Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr has been appointed as the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council with the approval and consent of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei and by the decree of President Masoud Pezeshkian. Zolqadr replaces Ali Larijani, who was assassinated in an Israeli strike on March 17.
