Four groups of atomic bomb survivors in Japan sent a letter earlier this month to the US and Israeli embassies in Tokyo “condemning their attacks on Iran,” according to Middle East Monitor.
Unsurprisingly, the Israeli Embassy in Tokyo refused to accept the letter, which calls “for an immediate ceasefire” and condemns the attacks “as outrageous,” according to Japanese daily The Mainichi.
Shigemitsu Tanaka, the 85-year-old head of the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Survivors Council, said, “The document was sent back without even being read. I think they are becoming closed-minded.”
