Joe Kent: I Resigned Because, When Fighting in Iraq, I Promised No Repeat

Joe Kent, the recent director of the National Counterterrorism Center, who resigned over President Donald Trump’s unwarranted assault on Iran, told the Washington Post today that his public stand and resignation came from his experience as a special forces soldier in Iraq. He promised himself, “If I ever have a seat at the table, I’m not going to put up with this. I’ll do whatever I can to prevent it.”
