In an 18-minute video, Frank Selle, chairman of the labor council at Bosch, Germany’s leading battery producer, which plans to eliminate 22,000 of its 89,000 jobs, denounced the EU Commission strategy to ban all combustion engine cars by 2035, as insanity, because it would kill two-thirds of all automobile production in Germany and Europe. The e-mobile sector is generating far too little profit and will continue to do so for some time.
The video produced by Selle was originally meant for non-public use outside of the labor union, but someone decided to leak it to the media. The following report is based on an article in Focus magazine.
China has a different approach to the EU. China pushes ahead with e-cars, while at the same time it introduces new technologies into traditional cars, such as injection systems, and continues to produce these vehicles.
