U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, told reporters Monday morning that President Trump wisely decided to join Israel in launching an unprovoked attack on Iran, because, “We knew that there was going to be an Israeli action. We knew that that would precipitate an attack against American forces, and we knew that if we didn’t preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties.”
Wouldn’t it have been simpler, cleaner, and also in keeping with international law to simply have prevented Israel from starting the war?
