In a Substack article with the same title as that above, former CIA intelligence analyst Larry Johnson reveals that he has received a copy of a letter sent by the Marine Reserve commander to his troops.
The letter from Lieutenant General Leonard F. Anderson IV reads in part,
“I ask you directly: Are you truly ready to deploy, fight, and win? Are your skills sharp, your standards high, and your gear prepared for immediate movement...? Are your family’s affairs in order? When the call comes, readiness will be assumed, not questioned. Your readiness is not a declaration; it is a daily commitment.
