On March 24, the IAEA reported on X that Iran had informed the agency “that another projectile hit the premises of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant today. According to Iran, there was no damage to the NPP itself nor injuries to staff, and the condition of the plant is normal.” IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, it said, “reiterates [his] call for maximum restraint to avoid nuclear safety risks during conflict.”
The power plant was not damaged during the attack, nor were any of the plant’s employees injured, according to Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, reported The Hill. “Targeting peaceful nuclear facilities is a blatant violation of international rights and regulations and a serious threat to regional security,” the AEO wrote in a Tuesday post on X.
