Republican Senator Wants Stephen Miller Ousted

Interviewed by Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union” show this past Sunday, North Carolina’s Sen. Tom Tillis, a Republican, was adamant that Stephen Miller, currently White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor, should be dumped from President Trump’s cabinet. Miller, he charged, has been “repeatedly responsible for embarrassments” for the administration, beyond just his role in defining immigration policy.

“Not only does Stephen really want to just paint a picture. He’s not worried about substance. He’s more worried about form… he has an outsized influence over the operations of the Cabinet. I believe we have got qualified Cabinet members there that sometimes are doing less than what they want to because of his direction and his outsized influence.”
