The results of a new Reuters/Ipsos poll, conducted between Feb. 28 and March 1, Ipsos.digital reported March 1. found “More Americans Disapprove Than Approve of U.S. Strikes against Iran.” The findings of the poll, which were released before Pentagon had confirmed that three—now four—Americans had been killed in the military conflict, also revealed that 54% said they would be less likely to support military action if it led to U.S. casualties or to a wider Middle East war.
Generally the poll’s findings divided along party lines: 74% of Democrats disapproved vs 7% who approved. Among Republicans 56% approved and 13% disapproved.
