On March 11, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution that condemns “in the strongest terms” Iran’s attacks on targets located on the territory of neighboring countries, while not acknowledging that the U.S. and Israeli started the war in the first place—which is obviously what “provoked” Iran’s response.
Both Russia and China abstained, rather than vetoing the resolution. China’s representative said that the resolution “does not fully reflect the root cause and overall picture of the conflict in a balanced manner.”
