The pathetic acting President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, used the occasion of an interview with Le Monde on Friday to demand that Ukraine be admitted into NATO or, failing that, be supplied with nuclear weapons. “When everyone says that Ukraine will not win this war because Russia is a nuclear power, then tell me, what do you think, what security guarantees should Ukraine have to oppose it? Which? NATO? Nuclear weapons? Well then, people should speak with us in the same way,” he said, reported RT. He admitted, though, that “until now, no one has asked us that question.”

Meanwhile, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has called on the US administration not to scale back military assistance to Ukraine, even as the war against Iran potentially looms, reported UAWire. “My appeal to the US remains unchanged: don’t lose sight of the fact that Ukraine—and the question of who wins this war and how it ends—also plays a central role for US security interests in Europe,” Pistorius said Friday, March 27, while visiting Australia.
