The pathetic acting President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy used the occasion of an interview with French daily Le Monde on March 27 to demand that Ukraine be admitted into NATO or, failing that, be supplied with nuclear weapons. “When everyone says that Ukraine will not win this war because Russia is a nuclear power, then tell me, what do you think, what security guarantees should Ukraine have to oppose it? Which? NATO? Nuclear weapons? Well then, people should speak with us in the same way,” he said, reported RT. He admitted, though, that “until now, no one has asked us that question.”
Meanwhile, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has called on the U.S. administration not to scale back military assistance to Ukraine, even as the war against Iran potentially looms, reported UAWire. “My appeal to the U.S. remains unchanged: don’t lose sight of the fact that Ukraine—and the question of who wins this war and how it ends—also plays a central role for U.S. security interests in Europe,” Pistorius said on March 27, while visiting Australia.
