Administration Can Stall Tariff Refunds No Longer

The Trump White House has finally had to accept that it will have to refund to American importing businesses about $166 billion in tariffs which the Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional—this, only months after the Court ordered it to create a tariff refund portal which was to have been in operation immediately in February. The importers can now formally request the refunds, but will have to wait another 60-90 days actually to have their applications accepted, and then refunds.

The portal has been set up by Customs and Border Protection, and is called the Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries, or CAPE.
