A projectile hit an area near the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, killing one of the facility’s security guards, but the main installations were not damaged, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) said, reported TASS. “This Saturday, at about 8:30 a.m. [5:00 a.m. GMT], a projectile hit near the premises of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant (close to the station’s fence). As a result of the blast wave and shrapnel caused by the attack, one of the auxiliary buildings of the plant was damaged, and, unfortunately, one member of the plant’s physical protection service was killed,” the statement published on the AEOI Telegram channel said. According to news reports, this is the fourth time since March 18 that a projectile has landed on ground close to the Bushehr plant.
