Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington, D.C., very much in sync with Pope Leo’s peace initiative, on April 11 made an unequivocal condemnation of the Iran war as unjust and immoral. He gave his homily at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, in a peace vigil accompanying the one earlier in the day in Rome by the Pope. The full text is available here.
