In an interview with former CIA analyst Larry Johnson, constitutional attorney Robert Barnes asserts that everyone around Trump is aware that he is clueless and delusional, and has less rationality than a three-year-old child. Barnes further reports that White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has changed her policy of shielding the president from negative news and opinions, hoping that some reality may filter through to the president. However, he further reports that everyone around Trump is also too cowardly to confront and contain him, and therefore President Trump is still “too much in charge.”
Barnes repeated what other analysts have said, which is that President Trump personally sabotaged Vice President JD Vance’s efforts at the last round of negotiations in Islamabad, in part by insisting that JD Vance consult with Israeli war criminal Bibi Netanyahu.
Barnes also reports that JD Vance has given up on the idea of running for president, given that this administration is catastrophic. He says that Rubio knows a prolonged Iran war would be detrimental to his presidential ambitions and, at this point, also wishes that this war could be ended.
