Turkish reporter, Cetiner Cetin, reported on April 12 in his X(Twitter) account, of a heated exchange between Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Aragchi, and presidential envoy Steven Witkoff during the Pakistan talks. “A few minutes ago,” Cetin wrote, “a tense situation allegedly arose between Minister Abbas Aragchi and Witkoff, which, due to a serious disagreement over the management of the Strait of Hormuz almost escalated into a physical fight.”
This is not the only heated exchange the two have had. At negotiations in March, there was a shouting match between the two as Aragchi insisted on Iran’s “inalienable right” to uranium enrichment, after which President Trump ordered a slew of attacks on Iran.
