All eyes may be on Iran, but self-styled U.S. “Secretary of War” Pete Hegseth is still targeting boats in South America, without presenting any evidence that they’re involved in drug trafficking. U.S. Southern Command, in fact, has reported four strikes in four days, killing 11 people. According to a report in Al Jazeera, the death toll in this U.S. campaign is now at 175.

Southcom reported four killed in a strike on April 14, two killed on April 13 and a total five killed on Saturday, April 11, in two separate strikes. In every case, “Intelligence confirmed the vessels were transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and were engaged in narco-trafficking operations,” Southcom claimed, without providing a shred of evidence.
