Iran's Ambassador to Mexico: 'We Call on All Governments and Free Peoples To Stop This Madness and Barbarism'

Mr. Abolfazl Pasandideh, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Mexico, issued an official statement from Mexico City on April 7 decrying the threats by U.S. President Donald Trump to bomb Iran back to the Stone Age, and calling “on all governments and free peoples to stop this madness and barbarism.” On March 15, Ambassador Pasandideh had addressed the 145th weekly meeting of the International Peace Coalition, initiated by Helga Zepp-LaRouche. The full text of his latest statement follows below (in machine translation from the Spanish original):

Abolfazl Pasandideh: In recent days, everyone has heard the threats shouted by Donald Trump regarding an attack against Iran that would “send it back to the Stone Age.” Those who call on Iran to reach an “agreement” through the language of violence have not yet understood the reality of this land. Iran is not a country that surrenders to threats; Iran is a country of resistance, reason, and honor. Faced with war and aggression, the Iranian people not only defend themselves but continue to live and rebuild the country. Iran is not merely a collection of roads, bridges, and buildings. Iran is the home of all of us. Iran is a living civilization, a nation that has repeatedly risen from the flames, destruction, and invasions, rebuilding itself each time with greater conviction and resolve.

When the President of the United States speaks of “sending Iran back to the Stone Age,” this is not simply political rhetoric; it is the revelation of a worldview. It is, in essence, a project of war crimes that not even Nazi Germany admitted to with such cynicism. Unfortunately, most countries, just as they remained silent in the face of the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza, remain silent in the face of Trump’s threat to destroy the millennia-old Iranian civilization. This inaction will have terrifying consequences for the future of humanity and will gradually contribute to the creation of a new Nazi regime in the 21st century. By adopting this approach and this new language based on threats and insults, Trump has placed himself among the most terrifying leaders of a “Stone Age”—leaders who believe that everything that is not under their control—from knowledge and universities to industry, from bridges and steel mills to cancer drugs and vaccine production facilities—must be destined for destruction.

An analysis of the U.S. and Israeli strategy reveals that the objectives of the war to resolve the Iranian issue—as one of the most important bastions of the “new geometry of global power”—were designed on three levels: the ultimate objective, to dominate Iran; the intermediate objective, to divide Iran; and the minimum objective, to destroy the infrastructure to weaken the country in preparation for future attacks.
