Iran's Khamenei Announces New Management of Hormuz and Persian Gulf

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, according to a statement released by his office on Persian Gulf National Day, announced that the Gulf will be “without US presence,” as there will be, as reported by Anadolu News, new legal and management frameworks for the Strait of Hormuz, designed to bring stability and economic benefits to the region. He said that the presence of foreign powers, particularly the United States, has been a source of instability in the region, adding that a “new phase is emerging.”
