Plot To Blow Up Section of TurkStream Gas Pipeline Exposed

In a new development in the ongoing energy war against Hungary and Slovakia, Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic announced Sunday the discovery of explosives of “devastating power” found near a part of the TurkStream pipeline leading to Hungary. The explosives were planted approximately 10 km from Serbia’s Hungarian border, in the Kanjiza municipality.

Vucic said, as reported by RT](https://www.rt.com/news/637425-serbia-hungary-ukraine-gas/), that detonation would have caused gas outages in Hungary and northern Serbia.

Later, the head of Serbia’s Military Security Agency, Duro Jovanic, announced that markings on the explosives made it “unequivocally clear” that they were from the U.S.; however, this “in no way means that the producer is also the mastermind and the executor of the sabotage.” He said the plot was prepared by a foreigner who had undergone military training: “We are looking for that person and that person will certainly be brought in. The only question is whether it will take three days or several months.”
