RFK's Raw Milk Craze and the E. Coli Outbreak

On April 3 the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a warning against consuming raw milk products. This warning came after nine people in California became ill from consuming unpasteurized raw milk products which were contaminated with the bacteria E. coli. Three of the victims required hospitalization, and more than half are children under the age of five. Raw milk products have been associated with outbreaks of illness from multiple types of bacteria, including E. coli, salmonella, and listeria.
