Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told TASS April 1, that Russia opposes the dismantling of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), which entered into force in 1970, and was extended indefinitely in 1995. He called for the NPT’s universalization.
