Sánchez Tours Chinese Academy of Sciences, Receives Honorary Professorship

During his visit to China this week, Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez received an Honorary Professorship from the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and was given a tour of some of the work of the Academy. During his visit, Sánchez was introduced to the latest research, exchanged views with scientists in frontier fields, and learned more about China–Spain cooperation in innovation and high-tech projects.

In public comments at the Academy, Sánchez said, “Cooperation does not weaken science; it strengthens it. It improves its quality, it expands its impact, and creates lasting bonds between scientific communities. Spain and China will continue to work side by side, advancing knowledge for the common good. That is the path we believe in, and that is the future we want to build.”
