A joint NATO-Ukrainian operation has been launched, aimed at discrediting retired Swiss Army Colonel Ralph Bosshard. It is suspected that NATO networks have put pressure on the Swiss military security establishment to silence Col. Bosshard and other Swiss military officers who have criticized the current western narrative that the Ukrainian conflict is simply an act of Russian aggression and that NATO expansion and Ukrainian provocations play no part. Already one Swiss officer, not Col. Bosshard, has been accused of treason, on the bogus claim that he passed sensitive information to the Russian Delegation of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) some ten years ago. Col. Bosshard’s article on this campaign can be read here.
Those targeted, including Col. Bosshard, have seen what appears as networks within the Swiss Federal Intelligence Service orchestrating this campaign, including the passing of distorted information to journalists in an attempt to paint these officers as spreaders of disinformation and willful tools of Russia. It is well known that the previous Swiss Chief of Staff, Thomas Süssli (2020-2025), fully supported and promoted the NATO-Ukrainian narrative and is suspected to have been the initiator of this operation. Unlike all previous Chief of Staff, Süssli did not come from the professional military corps, but was a reservist and was a political appointee by those seeking to bring Switzerland closer to the European Union and NATO. He had not attended any of the military service schools outside of Switzerland, which is normal for professional officers, and was chosen for his alleged expertise in cyber warfare. As Chief of Staff, Süssli promoted officers sharing his own views.
