Trump Goes from Blasphemous 'Jesus Christ' Portrayal to 'Armageddonist' Dupe

The particular Biblical passage chosen for President Trump to read, on the occasion of the ‘America Reads the Bible’ marathon, is connected with Armageddonists’ push to rebuild Solomon’s Temple, on the current location of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Apparently, there is a mystical belief that the third builder of the temple is the Messiah. (Trump as Jesus??) Others say, the issue is that the Old Testament passage from the 7th chapter of 2 Chronicles (11-22) has been used to argue that the U.S. is centered around repenting from sin by becoming a Christian nation. The part that is focused upon reads:

“And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said to him, I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
