U.S. President Donald Trump keeps unleashing manic streams of delusional postings on Truth Social, particularly about Iran, that make a mockery of the name of the platform itself, since there’s very little truth in what he posts, and raising questions about his mental fitness for office. One might be tempted to dismiss them as the ravings of a madman, but the very fact of the office that Trump holds means they have real world effects.

Part of Trump’s obsession about Iran having a nuclear weapon is the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). “It was a guaranteed Road to a Nuclear Weapon, which will not, and cannot, happen with the Deal we’re working on,” he claimed. For the record, the JCPOA was not “a guaranteed Road to a Nuclear Weapon.” Iran would still be a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, while Israel is not, and would still have been subject to nuclear inspections under the Additional Protocol with the IAEA.

Trump also complains incessantly about the Democrats and the “fake news media” refusing to recognize his alleged victories over Iran.

In addition to his manic stream of Truth Social postings, Trump has also been calling into media organizations for interviews about Iran.
