“CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper and the chairman of the joint chiefs General Dan Caine briefed President Trump for 45 minutes today on new plans for possible military action against Iran, two U.S. officials said,” Israeli journalist Barak Ravid reported on X, last night.
Fox News Jesse Watters, in cheerleader-like fashion, claimed that Cooper and Caine briefed Trump on “what could be the final blow” against Iran, triggering strong responses across social media.
On his way to Florida later on Friday, Trump told reporters with regard to the status of dealing with Iran: “Well, there are options. Do we want to go and just blast the hell out of them and finish them forever? Or do we want to try and make a deal? I mean, those are the options.” Trump didn’t elaborate beyond these terse comments.
