Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in a phone call that recent tension-creating actions by the U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf and repeated violations of the ceasefire have deepened doubts about the U.S.’s intentions and commitment to diplomacy, reported Tasnim. He described the U.S. approach as destructive and said it is undermining the diplomatic process while deepening the Iranian nation’s distrust toward Washington’s intentions.
Araghchi also informed Fidan about the latest developments regarding Iran’s diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at bringing a definitive end to the war of aggression imposed by the U.S. and Israel.
