Israel Stopped the Flotilla in International Waters

The arrest of 211 activists of the so-called Global Sumud Flotilla off the coast of Crete has given the Israeli government the opportunity to play the Beastman once more and the so-called liberal democracies to take the moral high ground. The Israeli navy boarded 22 vessels, destroyed their engines, and arrested 211 members of the Flotilla in international waters, hundreds of miles from Israel, ostensibly violating international law.

A spokesman for the European Commission called for respecting freedom of navigation, while the Turkish government asked the international community to adopt a joint line against “this illegal action by Israel.” Italy and Germany issued a joint statement of protest, while the Spanish government summoned the Israeli ambassador.
